About Our Program
The United Sports Flag Football League is dedicated to providing a positive sports experience for all children aged 4-14. Our program is designed to teach the fundamentals of flag football in an inclusive and safe setting, where the emphasis is on learning, participation, and enjoyment over competition.
Our Philosophy
We believe that sports are a powerful tool for teaching children valuable life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and resilience. Our goal is to foster a nurturing environment where every child can grow both on and off the field. Sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for others are the cornerstones of our league.

We're excited to have you join our league! Here’s how you can sign up:
- Select a Location: Be sure to choose the specific location that is most convenient for you and your family.

Buddy and Coach Request Policy
At the United Sports Flag Football League, we understand the importance of playing with friends and preferred coaches, which can greatly enhance the enjoyment and comfort of our young athletes. To accommodate this, we offer the option for players to make buddy and coach requests during the registration process. Here’s how it works:
Making a Request
- Buddy Requests: You may request for your child to be placed on the same team as a friend or friends. Please provide the full names of all requested buddies.
- Coach Requests: If your child has a preference for a specific coach, you can indicate this during registration by providing the coach’s name.
Policy Details
- No Guarantees: While we strive to honor all requests, please understand that fulfilling a buddy or coach request is not guaranteed. Placement is subject to team composition and availability.
- Overflows: In cases where there is an overflow of requests for a specific team or coach, we will consult with the coach to finalize the team roster.
- Reassignments: Players who cannot be accommodated on their requested team due to overflow or other logistical reasons will be reassigned to another team. We aim to keep these reassignments as minimal as possible and will communicate any changes promptly to ensure a smooth transition for your child.
Goal of the Policy
This policy is designed to balance individual preferences with the overall need to form equitable and balanced teams. Our priority is to create a fair and enjoyable experience for all participants.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility. If you have any questions or concerns about our buddy and coach request policy, please feel free to contact our league office.
Rating Your Child’s Athletic Ability
During registration, there is a column with a number (1-5) in it. This is a SELF-REPORTED answer to the question, “Please rate the athletic ability of your child (5 being the strongest)”. Please assess and rate your child’s overall athletic ability on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the strongest. This self-reported measure helps us understand your child’s current level of athletic performance and comfort in sports activities.
Here’s a quick guide to help you choose the right number:
1: Beginner - New to sports, learning basic skills.
2: Novice - Some experience, still developing basic skills.
3: Intermediate - Comfortable with sports, developing intermediate skills.
4: Advanced - Skilled in sports, refining advanced skills.
5: Expert - Highly skilled, excels in athletic performance.
This rating assists in ensuring a balanced and enjoyable experience for all participants by helping us group children with similar abilities.
Registration
Registration is simple and can be done online. Just visit our registration page, select your preferred location and fill in the necessary details. We encourage you to register early as spaces in each location are limited and fill up quickly.

About Our Coaches
We have a wide range of coaches in our league:
- Some are coaching for the very first time
- Some have coached for multiple seasons
- And some are seasoned coaches with years of experience
Coaching isn’t easy, so we ask that you trust that they’re doing their best, show appreciation, and offer help where possible.
In some cases, a team may not yet have a coach due to scheduling or unforeseen changes. If that happens, we’ll do our best to:
We appreciate your patience and support as we make sure every team is covered and set up for success.
Team Rosters – Please Review
We’ve now sent out team rosters for the upcoming season!
We want to thank everyone for their patience as we worked through coach and buddy requests, which we did our best to honor while keeping rosters fair and manageable. Some teams and divisions have reached maximum capacity, and we understand that larger rosters can present challenges, especially for our volunteer coaches.
To help with this, we will be increasing game times slightly to ensure every player gets more time on the field. Our goal is to make the season fair, fun, and rewarding for everyone.
That said, we know things don’t always go perfectly. If you believe there has been an error with your child’s team placement, or if something doesn’t look right, please email us right away and let our staff know. We’re here to help and will do our best to resolve it. If you have emailed us, we're working on your request.
Thanks again for your understanding and continued support!

What This League Is All About
We’re more than just a flag football league, we’re a growing community focused on building something special for youth and adults. Our goal is to create a platform where players can:
Some of our players are brand new to football. Others have years of experience. Either way, we want every player to walk away from the field better, whether that means understanding the sport more, getting in a great workout, feeling part of a team, or making a new friend.
You can help make this happen:
- Cheer loudly and positively
- Give high-fives and encouragement
- Organize a parent tunnel/bridge for kids to run through before or after games
- Celebrate effort, not just scores
Let’s make this an unforgettable experience for every child.
